The TTXGP UK series is set to kick off this weekend with round 1 at Snetterton. As with most TTXGP races, the grid is a great mix of familiar male and female racers and bikes and a few new electric race teams. Expect Team Agni to lead most of the race with a good fight from the fast and race proven ManTTx. James McBride is familiar with the bike and had a great showing at 2010 TT Zero. We may see a Mavizen on the podium this weekend too though all three bikes entered have never been raced and may have some bugs to work out.

Kingston University learned some hard lessons at the 2009 TTXGP and will be out to win as they were in 2009. Tork India went the distance in 2009 with a third place Open Class win on the Isle Of Man. They have a mostly new bike for 2010 and as a veteran electric race team will be out to show us some speed. It is really shaping up to be an exciting race. If you can’t make it to the track check out the TV coverage on ESPN if you live in the UK.

Teams and riders for the TTXGP series are listed below.

TTXGP North America Round 3

Round 3 of the TTXGP North American series is running this weekend at Mosport in Canada. Jennifer Bromme reported on twitter that Werkstatt Racing was there as of yesterday setting up for the race. Michael Hannas and team Electric Race Bikes turned the fastest lap in qualifying but I am not sure that all teams are on site yet.

We can probably expect to see the Midwest teams such as Square Wave Racing and Bluegrass / Team Norton Electra who finished third place at Road America in TTXGP Round 2. I would also be surprised if Lightning Motors was not there to pick up more points after their Round 2 victory. Team Agni has two bikes in the TTXGP UK series which leaves the original 2009 bike floating between ePower at Leguna Seca and TTXGP at Mosport. Electric Motorsport was struggling with heat build up and had many ideas on how to keep their AC20 motor running cool when they left Elkhart Lake.

David Herron is on sight at Mosport and should have some good pictures and interviews with the riders as usual. Keep an eye on David’s site column at the Examiner and check back for the race results.

UPDATE: Environmoto will also be on site. Look for updates after the race.
