I have to admit I have never heard of the Moto Ponco before and can’t find much information about it. It appears to be an electric scooter in a solid plastic shell with foot pegs, handlebars and seat that fold into the shell to achieve a more compact storable size. Total weight is 80 lbs.
The idea is not new. Honda sold a small ICE scooter that was designed to be stored in an automobile and taken out for short journey’s away from your parking spot. It had a very similar name, the Moto Compo. You can still find them occasionally on Ebay.
I must say I am not a big fan of the look of the bike but it’s sturdy looking plastic shell and compact size make it appealing to me. I can’t help think how well this little bike would fair if you laided it down. Maybe KTM should have a look.
